THE SHEARERS’ QUARTERS
The Quarters housed shearing teams for close on a hundred years, when they came to shear the station flock. Nowdays, the iconic corrugated iron building is central to our tourist precinct. An entry in the visitors' book reads: "Time waits for no one, but it seems to here!" So do come and spend some time with us.
Accommodation is available in double or twin rooms. All the usual amenities are available - comfortable beds, hot showers and toilets, a fully equipped kitchen and an extensive outdoor / BBQ area.
Caravans usually park close to the verandah to access power, there is plenty of space and no need to unhook. 240 volt power is available 24 hours a day, however the supply is limited to lights and refrigeration. Strictly no heating elements such as electric kettles, electric fry pans or electric hot water systems!
Campers are also welcome to enjoy the picturesque surrounds.

The old family homestead is charming, comfortable, lovingly maintained and furnished. Construction commenced in 1909 using mud bricks & the layout is typical of the era with the kitchen separated from the living areas by a long breezeway. The gardens are extensive with a mix of tropical, native plants & lawn. Visitors can enjoy the open log fire in wintertime or sit on the verandah and take in the scenery. The homestead is ideal for groups - families or friends. Both double and twin rooms are available. We also deliver meals to the formal dining room or you are welcome to use the fully equipped kitchen or gas BBQ.
